Lina Puerta

In my work, I observe the body, inside and out, as a natural system, landscape or small universe. Inspired by the physical commonalities within nature and the human body, I create hybrid anatomical and botanical forms or scenes that evoke surreal, magical worlds. I am interested in the spiritual oneness and interconnectedness of body and nature as one living force, as well as, its inherent menacing and destructive power.
